Construction & Specifications
All Blueprint cabinets are built to last with premium materials and hardware:
- Solid Birch Wood with 5/8″ Dovetail Plywood Box Construction — No Particleboard.
- Soft-Close, Full Extension, Undermount Glides on all drawers.
- Soft-Close, Fully Concealed, European Style, 6-Way Adjustable Hinges on all doors.
- Natural Interior Finish — exposed sides require finishing end panels (sold separately).
Wood Care & Maintenance (TLC)
Solid wood is a natural, living material. To keep your cabinets looking their best for years to come, please follow these guidelines:
Humidity
Maintain a relative humidity level between 40% and 50% in your home at all times. Extreme variations in humidity can cause wood to expand, contract, warp, or crack.
Temperature
Keep the room temperature between 60°F and 90°F (approximately 15°C to 32°C). Avoid installing cabinets in unheated or unventilated spaces.
Heat Sources
Do not install cabinets directly in front of or too close to heating vents, radiators, or other sources of radiant heat. Sustained heat exposure can damage the finish and cause wood to dry out.
Discoloration Disclaimer
Over time, paints and stains may discolor due to exposure to:
- Smoke — cooking fumes, tobacco, or fireplace smoke.
- Light — both natural sunlight and artificial lighting.
- Moisture — excessive or prolonged humidity exposure.
This is a natural characteristic of wood finishes and is not considered a defect. Minor colour variation between samples, doors, and installed cabinets is normal and expected.
